    Due to the remote location of the hotel, telephone coverage is extremely limited and there is limited internet only at the Lodge reception. Guests will have access to electricity anywhere in the lobby, part of the experience at Savanna is connecting with nature and local culture, with a reduced virtual connection leading to a deeper personal connection and liberation.

  • Health and Vaccines?

    Savanna Lodge is located in an area where the yellow fever vaccine is recommended for all travelers under 9 months of age. Therefore, it is essential that you consult your doctor regarding yellow fever requirements. We also suggest taking Thiamine a few days before your trip as Vitamin B1 is a proven alternative to sprays and wipes to make you less prone to insect bites. Repellent is provided in your bungalows and services.

  • Animals and insects?

    Although Savanna offers the highest level of comfort possible, it is important to remember that the remote and wild location of the camp means that insects and mosquitoes can be found, as well as animals of the region.

  • Where is the Hotel located?​

    It is located in Orocué-Casanare, 2 hours and 30 minutes from Yopal and 2 hours from Orocué, it can be reached in 3 ways: Land - Commercial airline to Yopal, Air from Yopal to the Lodge and Air by private plane direct to the Lodge

  • How to get to Savanna lodge?

    Land: There are several ways to get to the Lodge by land, one is Bogotá – Yopal – Savanna Orinoquía Lodge leaving through the north of Bogotá via Sogamoso. The second is through Villavicencio, leaving from the south of Bogotá via the Llano, Villavicencio – Monterrey – Yopal – Savanna Orinoquía Lodge. But we always recommend the first one, being an hour less travel time.

    Yes, we have parking spaces inside the Hotel.
